Bayannuur is a sum (administrative subdivision) of the Bayan-Ölgiy Aimag (province) in Mongolia. It is located to the very east of the aymag capital Ölgiy and it has a border with the Uvs Aymag. Like in Bayan-Ölgiy's other somon, Bayannuur is primarily inhabited by ethnic Kazakhs.
