Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra

The Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks) is an "internationally renowned orchestra" based in Munich, Germany.[1] It was founded in 1949 by Eugen Jochum, who was also principal conductor until 1960. It is regularly considered one of the best musical ensembles in the world[1] and the finest radio orchestra in the world. Its primary concert venue is the Herkulesaal in the Residenz.
The orchestra received a Grammy Award in 2006 for Best Orchestral Performance.
