I'm Bob Rathbun.

I'm a retired software engineer, though the title changed from programmer to software engineer automatically mid-career.

Once upon my time, a single computer would occupy hundreds of square feet of floor space, but now such things are orders of magnitude more capable and fit easily in one hand. A key to progress such as that is information and its availability.

Wikipedia would seem to be such a key.
