The Battle of Kulm really was a magnificent example the coalitions ability to rebound after very significant defeats. They did this in the spring after such battles of Lutzen and Bautzen. The defeat against the Allies at Dresden was really quite masterful. To be able to rebound so quickly and defeat one the emporer's better generals is quite remarkable. It is significant to not at this juncture that the coalition realized that it was totally unable to defeat Napoleanan himself piecemeal, but they could make progress against his generals. Kulm is represenitive of the Allies strategic move to bring all their forces against him at once by forcing him to try and be everywhere at once. Jak1985
