The Valley of the Brave and Bold ==

In Chang Ban, only they dared stand tall in the face of certain defeat regardless of how the situation was. Zhao Yun, the brave hero of Shu. Zhang Fei, the bold titan of Shu.

As Cao Cao (From the Novel) attacked the hundreds of thousand people that traveled with Liu Bei, the Shu ruler loses his child in the chaos as he scurries to safety; however, the brave Zhao Yun turns about and recklessly charges into the Wei lines of Cao Cao's army searching everywhere for Liu Chan. As he went about slaying here and there, Cao Cao eventaully received word of how much of a marvel Zhao Yun was.

"A very tiger of a leader! I must have get him alive!" Quote from Cao Cao after he sees the daring deeds done from a hill top.

Although Zhao Yun was the brave at Chang Ban, Zhang Fei takes the title of Bold as he guarded Liu Bei's rear flank. After Zhao Yun passed safely over the bridge where Zhang Fei guarded, the brave Shu general was soon met by Cao Ren, Xiahou Dun, Xiahou Yuan, Li Dian, Yue Jing, Zhang Liao, Xu Chu, Zhang He, and various generals of Cao Cao. Although he was out-numbered by the many Wei soldiers, commanders, and generals, Zhang Fei still stood firm and his unshakable appearance struck fear in the minds of the Wei army.

"Guan Yu had said that his brother Zhang Fei was the sort of man to go through an army of a hundred legions and take the head of its commander-in-chief, and do it easily." Quote from Cao Cao while viewing Zhang Fei at the bridge.

  • In the valley of Chang Ban
  • Zhang Fei was the bold
  • In the Long Slope on horse back
  • Zhao Yun is the brave
  • Together they stand invincible
  • Now they are legends
