[edit] Battle of the Battle of Bear Paw
I renamed this web page because the previous version of the name was incorrect. Most references refer to the battle as the "Battle of the Bear Paw" or "Battle of the Bears Paw" or "Battle of the Bears Paw Mountains" but never "Battle of Bearpaw Mountain". The associated geographical feature is the Bears Paw Mountains (plural), not "Bearpaw Mountain" (singular). Most references use "Bears Paw" or "Bear Paw" in referring to the battle (or the mountains), and many Wikipedia entries (such as the Havre, MT article) could not find the Wikipedia entry under "Bearpaw Mountain".
Also note that the battle was not in the mountains but in the plains to the north of the mountains.
