[edit] DVD glitches

I have the new Sony DVD of the 1943 serial, but I noticed a couple problems with it. First, chapter 1 has very bright video and scratchy audio, while the rest of the serial has normal video and audio. Second, in chapter 2, in the scene where Linda is talking to Bruce on the phone, the video skips back for a second to the two gangsters in the phone booth from about a minute earlier in the film (this glitch is not on my old VHS copy). Finally, at the end of chapter 2, the "next chapter" narration and clips are edited out, fading directly to the Columbia logo. Does anyone else who owns the DVD have these problems, or did I just get a defective copy ?

[edit] Resposnonse to DVD glitches

I have the same DVD of the 1943 serial. I have noticed the same problems with it. The same scrachy audio in the first chapter, the same problem where Linda is talking to Bruce on the phone and the video skips back a minute to the two gangsters. I also saw the "next chapter" narration and clips edited out of the end of chapter 2. I was never able to find a VHS copy unfortunatly. Now that I have read DVD glitches I suspect that the problem is not the fault of the DVD but the film print that was used to make it.
