Portal:Battlestar Galactica
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Battlestar Galactica is a science fiction television show that now has a new image, despite having been conceived almost 30 years ago. In 2003, Ronald D. Moore, producer for several years on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, wanted to recreate or "reboot" the series in his own fashion. Moore's reconceived Battlestar Galactica first appeared as a miniseries, seen in the United States on the Sci Fi Channel, with the understanding that it might not develop into anything further. After hearing reports that the number of viewers increased after the first part of the miniseries, Moore and his crew thought it was just a fluke. The viewer numbers continued to increase after the second and third parts of the miniseries, prompting Sci-Fi Channel to make Battlestar Galactica a regular show. Two full seasons of Battlestar Galactica have been completed, with the third season now in progress. This third and latest incarnation of Battlestar Galactica is now the longest running version of the franchise. By comparison, the original Battlestar Galactica show only lasted one season and the 1980 Battlestar Galactica second show lasted less than a year.

You said that humanity was a flawed creation, and that people still kill one another for petty jealousy and greed. You said that humanity never asked itself why it deserved to survive. Maybe you don't. |
