Battle of the Year

Battle of the Year, commonly referred as Boty, is an annual international breakdancing competition. The format comprises firstly a showcase in which all countries perform a routine demonstrating their ability in the different styles of breakdance. Winners are chosen by a panel of judges. The four best teams are selected to take part in the final 3/4 and 1/2 battles. Teams from all over the world take part and the competition is very highly regarded in the breakdance scene.
On occasion with the annual competition, it is released a CD/LP labeled "The Official battle Of The Year Motion Soundtrack", which features some of the leading B-Boy Funk artists such as Def Cut, Cutmaster GB and DJ Phantom.
