Battle of Millesimo

The Battle of Millesimo was one of a series of small battles that were fought in Northern Italy in April of 1796. They included the Battle of Montenotte, First and Second Dego, and Cera.

Napoleon took command of the Army of Italy in early April, which consisted of around 36,000. He attack north to isolate the Army General Colli, of about 25000, and the Army of Austrian, of 22000. Napoleon was able to fight his opponents in turn, this way he always have superior number of troops on the field of battle. After linked up with Serurier division, Napoleon defeated the Army of General at Colli at Mondovi. The Armistice of Cherasco was sign on the 28th of April.
