Battle of Mesilla

The Battle of Mesilla was a Confederate victory outside of Mesilla, New Mexico (the Confederate States of America's Arizona Territory) on July 27, 1861, in which a force led by Lt. Col. John Baylor captured a force led by Major Isaac Lynde, with minimal casualties on both sides.
