The Battle of Bitonto was a battle of the War of Polish Succession fought on May 25, 1734 between Spain and Austria near Bitonto, Puglia (southern Italy). The Spanish, led by the Count of Montemar and their future king Carlos de Bourbon, were victorious. As a result, the Kingdom of Naples was secured for the Bourbons.
