Battle of Beachy Head

Two naval battles fought off the promontory of Beachy Head on the Sussex coast of England, are known as the Battle of Beachy Head.
- The third day of fighting in the Battle of Portland, 1653, during the First Anglo-Dutch War, took place off Beachy Head between fleets of the Commonwealth of England under General at Sea Robert Blake and the United Provinces under Admiral Maarten Tromp.
- The Battle of Beachy Head, 1690, during the War of the Grand Alliance, was fought between an Anglo-Dutch fleet under the Earl of Torrington and a French fleet under the Comte Anne Hilarion de Tourville.
