[edit] Wryspry

I'm going to assume that your recent edits to the List of correctional facilities in comics were in good faith and not targeted at me. I'm posting this here, because i'm pretty sure you check this page pretty regularly, as do my other "shadows". --Basique 21:33, 27 September 2006 (UTC)

Not shadows, victims.

[edit] Virgil Finlay

I don't know where to post this: while there was considerable overlap between pulp and comics illustrators, I'm not aware of Finlay as a comics artist, and you posted him as part of the comics project. Would you mind pointing me to where he's discussed as that? The closest I remember is contributions to Galaxy Magazine at the same time Gray Morrow, Wally Wood, Ralph Reese and Vaughn Bode were doing illustrations--but except for Reese's stint as Wood's assistant the last two artists' comics work were mostly in the future at the time. Jplatt39 00:32, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

No problem, it actually should show up in the "what links here " section of Virgil's page. Virgil was one of two artists who created the character Tommy Tomorrow for DC Comics. --Basique 03:04, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Paranoia

It's a coincidence of timing. When people have similar interests, they will inherently wind up editing some of the same pages on multiple occasions. Whenever pages on my watchlist pop up as having been edited, I peek at what's happening. Had I noticed the time on your edits, I'd have realized you were editing right at that particular moment and would have checked it some other time.

But again, you're just too ready to talk about taking issues to other people. There was no reason for you to talk about bringing in anybody else. Just ask a person a question. Remember, you asked people to take a look at the prison page on the WikiProject Comics discussion page, so don't be surprised when some of those who check it out stay interested. Remember also, I backed you up in your disagreement with JC-whatever number he/she/it is.

Anyway, like I said, if I'd noticed you were editing at that moment, I wouldn't have risked edit conflicts, which just waste people's time regardless. Doczilla 21:12, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

Interesting title. That conflict was resolved quite some time ago, in fact you saw it resolved. My watchlist is empty so i can't really empathize. Requesting an arbritator in a situation where I feel uncomfortable is entirely my prerogative, and one I exercise when and if I so choose. A question was asked, and you answerd it. My concerns were voiced so now you understand them, I trust there will be no further "edit conflicts" between us. --Basique 21:33, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Of course there can be edit conflicts. It just happens sometimes. So what? Who seriously looks at the exact minute the last person made a contribution every single time they edit an article?

On a separate note: If you actually want a person to read what you say to them, say it on their own talk page. The only reason I knew to check here for your reply to me this one time was that, when I came to post my previous reply, I noticed what you said to Wryspy (check spelling) above. I find it hard to think anyone regularly checks someone else's talk page. Doczilla 21:39, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Webcomics

Webcomics are different than independant publishers. Hence the change, for accuracy. - jc37 21:52, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

I know, but I want to keep all independents in one place including webcomics. And i'm not sure if Colony should be under the Future Comics imprint. --Basique 21:59, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, however it is done, it shouldn't be alphabetised by I or W. It should be at the end. - jc37 22:17, 2 October 2006 (UTC)
I agree with you on that, i'll move it now. --Basique 22:18, 2 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Arioncover1.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Arioncover1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. feydey 15:00, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Check the image's history, not originally one of mine, I just resized and re-uploaded an existing image put in place by TheSteve, so go right ahead and delete it. --Basique 23:38, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Permission to Edit?

Sorry, I just made a change to the Batman article without getting your express permission first. I'm hoping it's OK, but I know you know how to revert any change you don't agree with if it isn't. Duggy 1138 07:55, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

I think you really need to seek professional help. --Basique 12:52, 29 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Edit to Peacemaker (comics)

I'm not a bot. Putting "Yeah. It's Chris. Used to wear the toilet bowl helmet 'n' all. I'm in the middle of his story now" in the ref line appears as an unconstructive edit, and probably belongs on the talk page for the article. Nonetheless, I assumed good faith and only reverted the edit, along with a "test 1" notice. The text simply seemed out of place (and it was). Unfortunately, during RC patrolling, we won't always know when a user isn't finished with an edit, so it's generally best to use the "preview" function unless you're satisfied that the edit is constructive. Again, no malice was assumed or intended by the revert. Regards. SkerHawx 13:47, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

Cool. --Basique 13:48, 4 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Big Bang Comics

Don't remove the cleanup tag again, until it's actually cleaned up. It's alot of bulleted lists still: that's clutter. When only a small part of the article isn't a list, that's a problem. Removal of tags for no reason is vandalism. RobJ1981 06:56, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

If you feel that the information I and others have added isn't enough to qualify as cleanup Rob then why haven't you done the research required to provide a solution? An email was sent to the editors of Big Bang Comics requesting additional information, they have yet to respond. If you have the information we need then add it. --Basique 00:41, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

The article this image was linked to appears to have been deleted, so I have no problem with the deletion. --Basique 00:43, 9 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Speedster (comics)

Hi. Sorry to bother you, but it looks we might have an edit war at speedster (comics) between myself and Ace Class Shadow. At issue is not only his position on the definition of the term, but his behavior as well. If you could chime in with your opinion on that article’s talk page, it would be appreciated. Thanks. Nightscream 10:15, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Just looked in, Ace seems to have calmed down and accepted the majority. --Basique 13:05, 12 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Star Brand

Hi I just reverted your edit that changed the position of the New Universe series infobox and I figured I'd give you my reasons so that there would be no hard feelings.

The infobox was originally where you put it, but there was a problem. Some editors saw the infobox at the beginning and began changing the opening to talk only about the New Universe series when most of the articles is about the Star Brand after that series ended. I moved it to where it is now to avoid this confusion.

I believe it should be where it is as its the best way to avoid this confusion in the future.

There is also the fact that that is the section that directly talks about the informtion in that infobox. Thanks for your time :-) Stephen Day 04:56, 27 November 2006 (UTC)

No hard feelings, I get that it must have been hell to maintain. --Basique 00:12, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
