Talk:Bass Rock

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Robert Louis Stevenson used Bass Rock in one of his books (Catriona, the sequel to Kidnapped)I am wondering how to add mention of that here. If I knew of some other references in literature or movies, I would go ahead and add them. Maybe I will just do it later; right now I am finishing Catriona. I find it a very nice read ;) --Matthew K 23:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Minor quibble

It's universally referred to as the Bass Rock in North Berwick. Will move and rejig the text unless anyone objects.--Nydas 16:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)

Actually, forget it. Wikipedia naming conventions don't support it. --Nydas 21:07, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] "correct" name

What is more "correct" about calling it "Island of the Bass". As Nydas says above, its always called the Bass Rock. Where does this correct name come from, and what is the justification for saying its more correct? ::Supergolden:: 15:54, 7 September 2006 (UTC)

As far as I can recall it is known simply as the "Bass", but that is just me. I think this probably doesn't need a disamiguation page! Brendandh 00:40, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
