Baseball leagues around the world, as well as various sportswriting associations or other interested groups, confer awards on various baseball players and teams for excellence in achievement, sportsmanship, and community involvement.

- Most Valuable Player
- Cy Young Award: given to the most valuable pitcher.
- Rookie of the Year: given to the best or most valuable first-year player.
- Gold Glove Award: given to the best fielder at each position.
- Hank Aaron Award: given to the best offensive performer.
- Roberto Clemente Award¹: given to a player in recognition of his charitable activities.
- Silver Slugger: given to the best offensive player at each position.
- Rolaids Relief Man of the Year Award: given to the most effective relief pitcher.

- This Year in Baseball Awards: Voting by fans initiated in 2002.
