Basarabi

This article is about the town in Constanţa County. There is another town in Dolj County, after which it is named the Basarabi Culture.

Basarabi is a town in Constanţa County, Romania. It is a port on the Danube-Black Sea Canal and has a population of 11,070. A complex of caves was found carved in the hills nearby, see the Basarabi Cave Complex.

Basarabi is also the birth place of the Romanian president, Traian Băsescu.
