[edit] Head Coach, Dallas Cowboys

Can you put a cite on that criticism re: Switzer winning with JJ's players? It seems like perhaps a pretty narrow criticism. Especially because a) how good a coach is does not equal how good the G.M. is - even if the coach is also the G.M. and b) plenty of coaches have taken the same players and done far better or far worse than their predecessor the next year and c) it's pretty rare for even the same coach to win multiple titles with the same players.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Awwill (talkcontribs).

Switzer did win with players acquired by Johnson. This is a well-established fact and can be verified just by looking at the Dallas rosters during the years in question. However, it is also true that during this time, the Cowboys were losing players every year to free agency and not replacing them with players of equal ability. The team Switzer won his Super Bowl with was very good, but not quite the caliber of the two that Johnson won with.Jsc1973 19:36, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
