Bart Freundlich

Bart Freundlich (born on January 17, 1970) is an American director, screenwriter, and producer.
He grew up in Manhattan and eventually graduated with a double major in Cinema Studies and Film and Television Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.
Before the creation of his first full length film, Hired Hands (which would go on to receive praise and awards at the Sundance Film Festival), in 1994, Freundlich had written and directed a short film titled A Dog Race in Alaska and a documentary titled Hired Hands.
He has been in a relationship with actress Julianne Moore since 1996 and has been married to her since 2003. The couple had a son, Caleb, in 1997 and a daughter, Liv Helen, in 2002. Moore has also appeared in three of Freundlich's films.
