Barry Mainwaring is a fictional character who made a cameo appearance in the popular sitcom Dad's Army. He was played by Arthur Lowe.

Barry was the long-lost brother of Captain George Mainwaring. He arrived in Walmington-on-Sea to visit his brother after a 15 year absence. The two siblings had apparently always clashed due to their differing personalities and a bitter feud had been precipitated by their father's death and the distribution of his estate.

Barry was apparently an alcoholic who consumed alcohol almost on a daily basis, and worked in a joke shop. He repeatedly referred to his brother as "po-face".
