Baron Acton

Baron Acton, of Aldenham in the County of Shropshire, is a title in the Peerage of the United Kingdom that was created on 11 December 1869 for the historian and Liberal MP Sir John Dalberg-Acton, 8th Baronet. The baronetcy, of Aldenham, Salop, was created on 17 January 1644 in the Baronetage of England.

On 17 April 2000, the 4th Baron was created a life peer as Baron Acton of Bridgnorth, of Aldenham in the County of Shropshire.
