"Barn Burner" is an episode of the American sitcom My Name Is Earl.
[edit] Synopsis
When Joy’s kids are denied enrollment into the camp for troubled youth at the Right Choice Ranch, Earl realizes his reputation for burning down the Ranch’s barn when he was a youngster has had a lasting effect.Earl, Randy, and Catalina all travel to the Ranch to make amends for the barn burning by building a pen for the camp’s new ostrich. After building an Ostrich pen to make up for it, Earl finds out that Randy burnt down the barn. This means that Randy is responsible for all of Earl's bad doings after that point, which is about 200 things. Randy then spends the rest of the day making up for items on The List. Earl then has to make up one that Randy can't, #97 "Told Dodge and Earl Jr. We would have a father-son day at Mystery Fun Land and didn't take them". Earl takes them to Mystery Fun Land, only to find that it doesn't exist anymore. The Boys tell Earl that they forgive him, something they learned at camp, and they cross the item off The List. Earl then forgives Randy, and takes back The List.

[edit] Trivia
- Slogans from the Right Choice Ranch gate sign:
- Touching bad boys since 1963
- Bringing boys to their knees since 1963
- Forcing boys to turn around since 1963
- We don't do anything inappropriate to the boys
- Stars Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee also co-starred in numerous films directed by Kevin Smith, including Mallrats, Chasing Amy, and Dogma. An explicit but obscure reference occurs when Randy, waking up, blurts out "poopie trim," which he similarly blurted as Willem in Mallrats, as did Chris Rock in Dogma.
