Barkeater Lake is a comic written and illustrated by Corey Pandolph. The strip runs in Adirondack Daily Enterprise and Lincoln Times-News, as well as United Media's comics.com website.
On December 2, 2006, Corey Pandolph announced that "Barkeater Lake" will be discontinued in January 2007. The strip's entire run will be collected in a book format and released shortly after.[1]

- Delores Tanzini
- A school gym coach who moved to Barkeater Lake from Brooklyn and coaches the Bears.
- Allen Macentire
- The local pharmacist who is allergic to almost everything.
- Chuck
- Local Bartender.
- Banks
- Could be called the smartest person in town except the fact that he's a dog. Works at Chuck's Pub, besides piloting the town's single aircraft and working as a substitute physics teacher.
- Jack "Heff" Heffernan
- The Principal at Barkeater High School.
- Eugene
- Jack's overactive son.
- Gary McGary
- Jack's Brother-in-law who is a coach in Sawtooth River, who also ran into Delores and accidentally hit her in the head with a briefcase and she fell in love with him. He later came back with his team the Wildcats and was beaten by the Bears.
- Billy Wilson
- the BHS school bully.
- Brian Ross
- One of the smartest students at BHS who is constantly picked on by Billy Wilson.
