Bargain City

Bargain City is a discount variety store chain in Brisbane, Australia owned by private company Hargovind Pty Ltd. They currently have five retail outlets based on the northside of Brisbane. Westfield Chermside, Centro Toombul, Aspley Hypermarket, Centro Lutwyche and recently established store at Stafford City Store in September 2006.
Bargain City is also a fictional large shopping mall / hypermarket complex, appearing in The Last Juror by John Grisham.
Although it is a fictional company, the shop appears to be based on the large mega-stores such as Wal-Mart, which brought cheap goods to many towns, but often at the expense of the locally-owned shops.
