Bardot is the self-titled debut album by Australian Popstars winners Bardot, released May 2000. The album is comprised of 12 songs, largely concerning the standard pop fare of relationships and independence. The album mixes in a number of musical influences including motown, country, latin and light R&B. It debuted at #1 (Bardot becoming the first Australian act to have their debut single and debut album enter the charts at #1) and was the twentieth highest selling album in Australia that year. The album also topped the charts in New Zealand and peaked at #2 in Singapore where it was twelfth highest selling album of 2000. The album's two ballads "Missin' Your Love" and "Love Me No More" were written by the Dowlut brothers, known as R&B act Kaylan when they toured in support of Bardot. In 2002, the brothers formed the dance act Disco Montego who recorded with Katie Underwood after she departed from Bardot.
