Barbu

Barbu is a former municipality in Aust-Agder county, Norway. Originally, from 1837, Barbu was a part of Austre Moland formannskapsdistrikt.
On 1 May 1878 Austre Moland was divided to form three municipalities: Barbu, Austre Moland and Tromøy. At that time Barbu had a population of 4,874.
On January 1, 1902 Barbu became a part of Arendal municipality. Before the merger Barbu had a population of 6,787.
