Barbara "Barb" Dutton Henrickson is a character on HBO's Big Love. Barb is the first wife of Bill Henrickson. Barb was raised outside polygamy. Barb almost died of cancer before Bill married Nicolette "Nicki" Grant. Barb's family disowned Bill because Barb followed him into polygamy. Barb's sister is showed as the modern one husband wife, raising the children (plus an adopted child) and holding down a job. Barb substitute-teaches the first grade. Barb seems to be the wife with the cool head.
