Barbara Lawrence

Barbara Lawrence (born Barbara Jo Lawrence on February 24, 1928 in Carnegie, Oklahoma) is a film actress.

Lawrence began her career as a model at a very young age. While studying at UCLA, she co-starred in a handful of 20th Century Fox movies, including A Letter to Three Wives and Here Comes the Nelsons.

When moving to MGM, she starred with Gig Young in the 3D movie, Arena. She then starred in Her Twelve Men with Greer Garson. Lawrence also played the lead role of Gertie Cummings in the movie Oklahoma!. She later repised the role in the stage version.

Lawrence retired in 1957 and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
