Barataria can refer to:
- Barataria, a fictional ínsula ("isle") awarded by some noblemen to Sancho Panza as a prank in Miguel de Cervantes' Don Quixote. The name comes from Spanish language's barato, meaning cheap.
- The town of Barataria, Louisiana, in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, south-east of New Orleans
- The Barataria Bay in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana, used as the base of the pirates led by Jean Lafitte in the early 19th century
- Bayou Barataria, stretching from Barataria Bay up into La Fourche Parish, Louisiana
