Barada is a village in Richardson County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 28 at the 2000 census.

Barada is located at 40°13′6″N, 95°34′44″W (40.218265, -95.578880)GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 28 people, 11 households, and 5 families residing in the village. The population density was 120.1/km² (296.3/mi²). There were 13 housing units at an average density of 55.8/km² (137.6/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 100.00% White.

There were 11 households out of which 27.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.5% were married couples living together, and 45.5% were non-families. 45.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 27.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.67.

In the village the population was spread out with 21.4% under the age of 18, 17.9% from 18 to 24, 17.9% from 25 to 44, 32.1% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 154.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 144.4 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $21,250, and the median income for a family was $46,250. Males had a median income of $22,500 versus $16,875 for females. The per capita income for the village was $13,716. There were no families and 8.0% of the population living below the poverty line, including no under eighteens and 50.0% of those over 64.
