Banshra is a census town in Barddhaman district in the state of West Bengal, India.

As of 2001 India censusGRIndia, Banshra had a population of 5128. Males constitute 55% of the population and females 45%. Banshra has an average literacy rate of 60%, higher than the national average of 59.5%; with 63% of the males and 37% of females literate. 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
