Bankers hours

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bankers' hours refers to the period between 10am and 3pm.

For many years these were the traditional opening hours of a bank. Sometimes used to imply that someone has an easy job in that it is a short working day. However this could be deemed unwarranted as bank staff worked several hours outside of 10am and 3pm - typically with ledgers - doing work that is nowadays done by computers.
