The seventh parliamentary elections of Bangladesh's Jatiyo Sangshad was held on 1 October 2001.

Total number of seats was 300.

This election was the first to be held under the Caretaker government concept, introduced in 1996. The chief adviser of the caretaker government was Muhammed Habibur Rahman.

  • Political parties: A total of 81 political parties along with independent candidates participated in the election.
