Bangaram(Telugu: బంగారం) is a Telugu film which released on May 3, 2006 and was directed by Tamil director Dharani. This film has Pawan Kalyan, Meera Chopra, and Raja playing the lead roles. Although the opened with extraordinary collections grossing almost 10 crores opening week, the film came out to be a disappointment.

Bangaram (Pawan Kalyan) is a journalist. His ambition in life is to join BBC. His boss fires him when he fails to bring the interview of a terrorist leader. Bangaram approaches the chairperson of the channel, Peddi Reddy (Mukeshi Rishi). By consequence of events, Bangaram is forced to spend some days with Peddireddy's family consisting of his two daughters — Sandhya (Meera Chopra) and Vindhya. Impressed with local faction leader Bhoomareddy's (Ashutosh Rana) style of functioning Peddireddy fixes his daughter Sandhya's marriage with Bhoomareddy's brother. The story then turns. Sandhya has a lover Vinay (Raja) with whom she is planning to get married soon. The rest of the film is how our hero Bangaram brings the two lovers together.
