Bang! is an opera for young people by John Rutter to an English libretto by D. Grant. First performance: 1975.

The story is based on The Gunpowder Plot. The Catholics were persecuted terribly by James I, so they plotted to blow up the British Houses of Parliament. The story is narrated by the elusive Father Garnet, leader of the Jesuits.
