Bandai Visual, Co., Ltd (バンダイビジュアル株式会社?), is an a Japanese anime and film production and distribution enterprise, owned by Bandai, Co. Ltd, and which is based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Its subsidiaries include Emotion Music, Co. Ltd, whose logos also include the Moai from Easter Island.
It has been involved in the production and distribution of several anime titles, including those it has directly produced itself, and the anime series produced by another of Bandai's anime subsidiaries, the famous anime studio, Sunrise.
In 1998, Bandai Visual set up an online store, Anime Village for various anime titles. This was its first attempt in the North American market. It was closed down in 2000. Bandai Visual now has its own wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, Bandai Visual USA Inc., which was established in 2005 and helps distribute and markets its productions across North America. Its anime and manga productions are also distributed across North America by Bandai Entertainment, Bandai's North American distributive unit, and across Europe by Beez, its European distributive unit.
