Bamboo is an open source content management system written with PHP for publishing content on the world wide web and intranets using a file-based SQLite database backend. It combines the benefits of Wiki style system with a file/folder structure, is very lightweight and easy to use. Common applications are documentation sites, but it can be used for many other applications including crafiting common web sites.
Bamboo is released as Open Source software under GNU General Public License (GPL). In addition to being available as a tarball, it is also provided as a Debian GNU/Linux package.
