Baltimore News-American
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Baltimore News-American was the Hearst Corporation newspaper in Baltimore, Maryland, and the final competitor to the Baltimore Sun. Hearst bought the evening News and the Sunday American from Frank Munsey, owner of the New York Herald, New York Sun, and New York Telegraph. The Scripps-Howard-owned evening Post was later acquired, and the evening News became known as the News-Post. Later, both the evening and Sunday editions would be named the News-American. The News-American ceased publication in 1986.
