Ballyvourney (Irish: Baile Bhúirne) is a small town in south-west County Cork, Ireland on the border with County Kerry. It is north-west of Cork city close to Macroom in the Derrynasaggart Mountains and is in the Muskerry region on the N22 road.
It is a great tourist attraction and is one of the original Gaeltacht areas. Though there are very few people who use Irish daily, it is not uncommon to hear it spoken in the district. It is also an area rich in architectural heritage; the local abbey contains a Sheela Na Gig and there are a number of stone circles, stone rows and fulachtaí fia in the area. The town is associated with Saint Gobnait and is host to St. Gobnait's Well, which is visited by the local faithful every February 11.
The main bar/restaurant in Ballyvourney is "The Mills Inn".
