Ballinskelligs (Irish: Baile na Sceilge meaning "Town of the Steep Rock/Crag" ) is a village in the south-west of the Iveragh peninsula (Uíbh Ráthach) in the Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) region of County Kerry, Ireland. The crags in question are Skellig Michael (Sceilg Mhichíl) and Little Skellig an ancient monastic colony which lies off the coast from Ballinskellings. The town is also the site of an attractive beach and ruins of an ancient abbey and castle.
