Balli Kombëtar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Balli Kombëtar was a nationalist organization of Albanians fighting for an Ethnic Albania during the World War II led by Mid'hat Bey Frashëri. After the Mukje Agreement, Balli Kombëtar was forced into a civil war with the communists and was defeated by them. Many of its members were forced to exile to the USA, as those who stayed in Albania were executed or put in prison by the communists. Balli Kombëtar's main objective was to join all the territories that belonged to the Albanian people but they were stopped by the communist leader Enver Hoxha who later became the ruler of Albania.
