Ballal Sena

Ballal Sena (Bangla: বল্লাল সেন) was a 12th century king of the Sena dynasty of Bengal, the third ruler of that dynasty. He is widely believed to have constructed the Dhakeshwari Temple, located in the modern city of Dhaka in Bangladesh.

He conquered Gaur from probably Govinda Pal and married daughter of Malla king in southwest Bengal.He went on to establish total control of Bengal by the Sena dynasry by the year 1168 AD.

He is said to have established the caste system and pioneered the Brahmin rule.
