Baldy Man

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Baldy Man was a character played by Gregor Fisher, a Scots comedian. His chief attribute was his comb over hairstyle as well as his bumbling nature and plump figure. The series achieved respectable viewing figures but was not as successful as Mr. Bean, however it was liked by a large proportion of Scotland.[citation needed]

He first appeared in a series of sketches in the BBC Scotland show Naked Video.

[edit] Television show

The Baldy Man was the title of a television show broadcast in two series comprising thirteen episodes on ITV, screening in 1995 and 1997. (The show was screened on Network Ten in Australia and internationally.) Similar in style to the Mr. Bean series, the show was a sitcom with little to no dialogue.

[edit] Hamlet

The Baldy Man character was also the star of a television commercial for Hamlet cigars.
