Bailieborough (sometimes spelled as Bailieboro) is a small town in County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland.

Bailieborough was founded by William Bailie, who was granted land in the area in 1610 by James I.

Irish suffragist and atheist Francis Sheehy-Skeffington was born here in 1878.

The town's amenities include a leisure centre (gym, swimming pool, sauna and steam room), many playing pitches and local walks. The area is well known for its lakes and forests.
