Baiame
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In Australian Aboriginal mythology, Baiame (Baayami or Baayama) is the ancestor and patron god of the Kamilaroi. He is a sky god and a deity of death and life, and a god of rain and the shamans. He is married to Birrahgnooloo (Birran-gnulu), with whom he has a son Daramulum (Dharramalan). It was taboo among the Australian Aborigines to mention or discuss the name of Baiame in public.
