Bagnall Lock, Lock No. 13 of the Trent and Mersey Canal at grid reference SK165148 near Alrewas, Derbyshire with Bridge 49 behind it. The balance beams of the lock gates are unusual in that they each have a right-angle bend to prevent them fouling the bridge. This is very strange since the bridge appears to be contemporary with the lock and there was plenty of space to build the lock a couple of yards further away.
