Bag Enderby
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Bag Enderby is little more than the buildings of Hall Farm, a few cottages and the church (St. Margaret's) which was built in 1407 with money bequeathed by Albinus de Enderby who died in that year, and is commemorated on a sepulchral slab. It lies just north of the A158 between Horncastle and Partney, Lincolnshire.
There is, however, a large gas and oil field under the area, owned by Roc Oil Company of Australia.
There are three 'Enderbys' in Lincolnshire, Bag Enderby, Mavis Enderby, and Wood Enderby.
