Bad For Good is the debut (and currently only) album by American composer and singer Jim Steinman, released in 1981 (see 1981 in music). It is entirely written and composed by Jim Steinman, and most songs are sung by him, but some feature Rory Dodd on the lead vocals.
The album was intended to be the follow-up to the massively successful Steinman/Meat Loaf collaboration Bat Out of Hell, but Meat Loaf's vocal problems, following a punishing tour, led Steinman to assume control of the project as a solo vehicle.
On the original vinyl release, "The Storm" and "Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through" were the A-side and B-side, respectively, of a 33-rpm 7" single, enclosed with the album. These tracks, according to Steinman's concept, are supposed to be the prelude and epliogue, respectively, of the album. However, on the current CD release, "The Storm" and "Rock And Roll Dreams Come Through" are the closing two tracks, contradicting Steinman's original sequence.
