Bad Vilbel is a town in the Wetteraukreis district in Hesse, Germany. Bad Vilbel has a population of 30,905 (2004). The town is located approximately 8 km northeast of Frankfurt am Main. Bad Vilbel was founded in 774 (first written document) but much older artefacts were found in the area.

Bad Vilbel has four railroad stations (Bad Vilbel, Bad Vilbel Süd, Dortelweil and Gronau) on Frankfurt's local transportation network (S-Bahn Line 6). It has access to the A661 autobahn and the highway B3.
