"Bad Habit" is the third track from the critically acclaimed 1994 album Smash by The Offspring.
The song's lyrics are about a mentally ill man who gets extremely annoyed at bad drivers and shoots them. (Hey man, you know, I'm really okay/The gun in my hand will tell you the same/But when I'm in my car, don't give me no crap/'cause the slightest thing, and I just might snap) It is told from first person, causing some controversy, but Offspring lead singer Dexter Holland has repeatedly stated that the lyrics should not be taken seriously, even on the joke intro track on the band's next album, Ixnay on the Hombre.
